Or: How I Got My Job
This page will collect stories of how people landed good jobs in the midst of the Great Recession. Although each story is unique, there are tips and lessons for everyone – because we know they worked.
What’s a good job? A minimum-wage job is not a good job. A good-paying job without benefits is not a good job. A good-paying part-time or temporary job, even with benefits, is not a good job. A part-time, temporary, minimum-wage job without benefits is the worst job of all.
A permanent, full-time job with good pay and good benefits is the only definition of a good job.
